Parts List for 2.7 litre Engine Replacement |
|
As per the title, can someone provide a complete list of parts (and, if possible, the Land Rover description) required when the vehicle is to undergo a complete engine replacement? It is an automatic transmission, Australian base model with Terrain Response and EAS.
I believe the engine is part number LR006701. That's the only one I know.
TIA LeighW

* second had a failure of the water outlet on top of the engine (pls check yours)

If it is a complete engine, you will need.
6 injector seal kits (but Freelander 1 TD4 ones fit, at a fraction of the price)
2 exhaust manifold gaskets, and 12 nuts
2 crossover pipe gaskets
Turbo feed, and drain pipe gaskets
Downpipe gasket, and nuts. Possibly studs too.
HPFP belt and tensioner, though the old one can be wound back and reused if needed
Crossover pipe nuts
If it is a short block only, add
Head gaskets and bolts.
Cam cover gaskets
Cam end seals
Cambelt kit
Crankcase gasket
Sump gasket My D3 Build Thread

Thanks Disco_Mikey - now can anyone point me in the direction of the procedure please?
BTW, I have a list of parts I put together from a site in the UK (land-rover-parts-shop.com who have a good range of parts) but I still would like to read through the procedure and see the times, etc. for the job of replacing the engine.
If anyone can help, I would be most grateful... LeighW

Thanks for that link sheerluck.
I forgot that was available, now the only info I need is how long does LR specify for both procedures; ie removal and installation? LeighW

Book time is as low as 15.5 hours, dependant on MY and auto/manual etc.
The quickest I have ever done an engine swap, from start to finish is around 22 hours My D3 Build Thread

I'm assuming that you're doing additional tasks compared to the book though DM?
