WTD: Fountain Pens

Ok - might seem a bit odd but if you have any decent, old fountain pens lying around then it's a hobby I'm enjoying right now so give me a shout/PM and I may be interested in taking them off your hands.

Looking especially for any old pens sitting in drawer that need rescuing, overhauling, etc.,

Anything considered - If you're giving them away then I'll pay for postage of course Smile

I think that was just my nerdiest post ever Whistle

Nothing nerdy about fountain pens, the nicest things to write with. I wrote with a Cartier for years, but my kids bought me a Twsbi last year for a 10th of the price of the Cartier but it is IMO far nicer and not so temperamental. The better inks seem to make a big difference too.

I have a TWSBI Diamond Mini and the Micarta arrived today Smile

Vac700 on order as I believe the VAC and the Micarta will be the collectible ones.... the Mini will be my everyday.

I've also got a MB Boheme which whilst lovely to write with is just waiting to get lost hence the TWSBI as an everywhere pen.

Thumbs Up

Next in collection will probably be a Parker 51 unless anyone comes up with anything on this thread Smile

Got a couple of Pilot Capless retractable fountain pens - very nice to use:

Got a few others but the best one I had was a £10 one out of Boots.

But I think getting a good quality ink goes a long way to enjoying using them.

Nearly bought the VAC but it was a bit big for my little hands. My kids bought me the blue 540, wanted to get the ROC but none were available Sad
