Newbie D4 Bluetooth Q
Found loads of info on the bluetooth topic, but just not sure what to to with my D4...
So: I bought a 08/2009 3.0 TDV6 HSE.
On the display it says "phone" (and has the buttons on the steering wheel), but when you select the option you immediately get the message "phone not connected".
Tried to connect my iphone 5, but cant see it on the phone...
Is this because my car doesn't have the bluetooth fitted?
Thanks for your help!

Have you followed the instructions in the manual?
D4 Manual wrote:
PAIRING AND DOCKING USING YOUR
MOBILE PHONE
Note: The process of pairing and docking your
phone with the vehicle using your mobile
phone, will vary depending on the type of
mobile phone used.
1. Switch the ignition system on and ensure
that the touch screen is active and that no
other phone is currently docked to the
vehicle’s Bluetooth® system.
2. Using the mobile phone, search for
Bluetooth® devices. On some phones, this
is referred to as a new paired device. See
your phone's operating instructions for
further information.
3. When the vehicle's Bluetooth® system is
discovered (named Land Rover), select
this device from the list.
4. When prompted, enter the Bluetooth® PIN
(Personal Identification Number). When
pairing and docking from your mobile
phone, this number is always 2121.
5. Once your phone is paired and docked to
the system, it can dock automatically. If it
does not automatically dock, you will have
to dock manually with the Land Rover
Bluetooth system, via the mobile phone.
Please consult the mobile phone’s
instructions for further information.
Note: Some mobile phones do not
automatically dock and will require to be
manually docked.
Some mobile phones require you to authorise
the connection each time you start the system.
To change this, you must set Land Rover as
being authorised in the mobile phone’s known
device list. Please consult the mobile phone’s
instructions for further information.
Cheers Ian

Possibly sounds like you have a defective BT, my 2012 connects fine to Iphone 5.
Try another phone and see if that pairs, that way it rules out a defect unit
I have a HTC that won't pair, but the Iphone works fine.

Done the same thing with an iphone 4 and it also cant find any bluetooth device...
Took some pics to show what I'm doing:
Select phone in the menu (sorry is in dutch)
It immediately says: "phone not connected"
On both iphones bluetooth is enabled but cant find a device...
Any idea what could be the issue?
thx!
