Is that the brake shoe adjustments as per Bodsy's brake bible?

The whole mechanism is still attached to each other but can't get it to reset it's self with the advice on the threads or in Bodsy's brake bible so really could do with help Sad . Have my local 4x4 shop who specialises more in LR parts on stand by to order new motor, but I honestly don't want to go down that route as we have replaced 2 callipers on the passenger side rear and front and all four discs as well as the pads.

Yes. When the shoes are out of adjustment the EPB motor moves too far and can jam, hence the squealing.
You need to unjam the motor, then readjust the shoes. Thumbs Up

Believe me, I've been there, done that, got the sodding T-shirt. Big Cry

I'm guessing keep adjusting till the squealing stops and hey presto all done till the next time, the shoes are ok but would it be worth while looking at replacing them? As we had to free them off and the springs are looking a bit worse for wear as well

I seem to remember something about 8 clicks of adjustment per side and you'll be good to go.
If the shoes have survived and still have plenty of wear they should be ok. Thumbs Up

Right I have done the 8 clicks thing and still getting the squeal but when I watch the motor it is squealing when it gets back to on mode which I am guessing is everything back to the motor from the drivers rear wheel arch it is also arching slightly when it gets fully out on the right hand of the motor could the shoes be needing to be changed or is my motor and cables nackered or can I adjust the cables to stop it arching the cable?

Hi boardrider,
Your "location" is somewhat non-specific. Do you mean east coast, west coast, or some other coast of Oz?

Do you mean NSW, or some other state?

TIA,
Peter

Is there any video to show the unwinding and relatching?

This is today's job.

My handbrake has packed in, plus I have a sticking calliper at the rear right.
So a mate and I are going to tackle the jobs to get it working again.

Mikey fitted the brakes and epb shoes and did the bedding in procedure. The calliper has done 127k so if it doesn't free off I won't blame it.

Mine now sorted. Only removed the dirt. Still to be adjusted but working without shrieking.
