SOLD: 2008 MINI ONE Convertible - Pepper White - £7,490

2008 MINI ONE Convertible - Pepper White - 34970 miles - Tax Aug 13 - MOT Mar 13 - £7,490

The car is my wife's. She has decided that the Mini Convertible she bought when we were living in sunny Dorset is no longer practical now that we are living in rural East Lothian and she has to ferry our 5 year son and his cousins and friends around. She has decided (against my recommendation Whistle ) to replace it with a 3 door Grand Vitara.

I've had a CAP valuation done so I have a broad idea of what we want to get for it, although valuations from CAP, Glass, Parkers and What Car? vary wildly.

History

The car has had two lady owners since new. We purchased the car in March 2010 from a Mini main dealer. It has no accident damage and has been serviced and maintained in Mini dealers. It was last serviced on 28/9/12 by Peter Vardy MINI when it also had a brake fluid change.

Features

Pepper Pack
16" 7 star alloy wheels
Body coloured fascia and door trims
Sports leather steering wheel
Anti dazzle rear view mirror
Chrome line exterior
Delete 'ONE' badge
Front & Rear fog lamps
Heated front seats (Brilliant in winter)
Manual air conditioning
On board computer
TLC pack - 5 years / 50,000 miles - Expires February 13
Velour floor mats
White indicator lights
Cloth seats
Parrot LS3200 Bluetooth Kit

Bodywork

The car is in excellent condition and looks much younger than its age. It has been well looked after and has benefited from regular valets. The bodywork is excellent with no accident damage, scratches or dents.

Interior

The interior is also in excellent condition. The upholstery is clean and free from any rips or wear. A unique feature of this car is the body coloured fascia and door trims. This brightens up the interior and is much better than the standard dark colours you normally find in these cars

Mechanical

The MOT runs out in March 13. There are no warning lights and no issues were highlighted during the last service. The car runs very well and returns around 38 mpg with a mix of town and country driving.

Extras

There is a Parrot LS3200 Bluetooth Telephone kit fitted and integrated with the car stereo. It supports a wide number of phones including Blackberry’s, iPhone’s and Samsung’s.

I also have a full set of Dunlop SP Winter Sport 4D 195/55 R16 H Winter Tyres that I will include in the sale. They were on the car last winter and did around 2K miles. They cost around £500 and are rated as one of the best winter tyres on the market. Since they came off in the spring they have been properly stored in a shed.

Thanks. It's been a great wee car. I love the way a modern Mini handles, and while it is very clichéd, it does handle like a go-kart. Razz

It served its purpose well but in the 2.5 years we have had it our lives have changed and my wife really needed something different. A combination of a need for more space along with frequent visits to our in-laws farm meant it has to go. Crying or Very sad

Thanks mr.t - The onset of winter is not the best time to be selling a convertible! Sad The car is on Autotrader and the only interest so far is from dealers making ludicrously low offers (£5200 from one dealer Rolling with laughter ) and a couple of private buyers doing the same. I'm in no desperate rush to sell so will hold out for better offers.

Sold through a classified ad on ebay. Buyer lives in Brighton and flew up on Saturday to collect it. The car is probably more suited to The Lanes of Brighton than the lanes of East Lothian. Very Happy
