Hi lads
Can any one please help
I have had a HDC fault for some time now and I was advised to change the brake switch so I did which at the time made no difference, today I was messing around and I noticed that when I start the car with my foot on the brake I get no faults but when I release my foot the faults come straight back up and Stay there till I switch off.
I have taken the brake switch out tonight and when I done press it with my finger I get no faults then when I press it the faults come back on the dash.
I'm just wondering if it's a dodgy switch I have bought and fitted or is it more in depth
Cheers

Have you replaced you brake light bulbs recently and if so did you use genuine bulbs? Cheers Ian

The point is that if you changed them and didn't use LR bulbs, and instead used ones from Halfords, etc, they could throw up a fault. Sounds absurd, but there it is. The thinking seems to be that one should use OEM bulbs in the rear and nowt else. PAGODA

Scotti, both my brake lights worked but one bulb was definitely a bit blacker than it should have been under closer inspection. I replaced both anyway and like magic, my problem was solved.
Genuine items were only about £1.50 each so always worth a go. Mods:

I'll go and get some tomorrow see if that sorts out the problem I'll keep my fingers crossed
Next one is, is it a big job to change the injectors on a D3 apparently mine might be on there way out as RST told me when I plugged in to there diagnostic kit
Thanks
