I know its been mentioned in one for or another but I am after a concise list of things to look at to the cure the dreaded 'bong' 'Suspension fault' 'special programmes not available' . This is accompained by the suspension switch being unlit and the orange suspension light on on the dash although the suspension remains at normal position .
I have checked all of the brake lights work.
I fitted some replacement headlight lamps recently, (those blueish 100w ones - which I have had in for about a year, but one blew) and in doing so had the ignition on and off for a while without the ignition running. So I also wondered if the 9 month old battery had run a bit low and haven't really had chance to do more than about 15 minute journeys in it - does it need charging?
I need to get it sorted before the snow so your thoughts and opions would be greatly received Disco 3 2.7 TDV6 55 Buckingham Blue Base

When I get, what I assume to be, a low voltage the 'special programs off' comes up in the display but I dont get a suspension warning light. So you could have a suspension fault... probably best to get the fault code(s) read. If it is a discharged battery then it wouldn't be surprising as we dont do that many miles a week, and in the winter she does seem to need a battery charger connected quite frequently...
In my (somewhat limited) experience, 20 min runs to work were not enough to keep on top of the battery in the winter with all the bits and bobs on (screen, fan, lights etc)
So mine sits on a battery conditioner when it is not being used 3-4 days at a time.
I think you need to have the battery/alternator checked and if okay give it a good charge. Then either maintainence charge it or even better, use it more

Low battery voltage - mine's about a year old but I've had this a few times recently, partly due to recent lack of use and to the cold weather.
I've hooked up a charger connection to the trailer socket to trickle charge the battery occasionally during longish periods of non-use and it stops it happening.
Bear in mind also that when the car "wakes up", EG. if you unlock it to get something out. it draws about 25 Amps from the battery for a few minutes, do this a few times and it soon reduces the voltage to the point where the error messages flow thick and fast although the engine may appear to start normally, then the messages disappear.Clive
cheers Guys so looks like it might be worth a bit of a charge up and see how she goes Disco 3 2.7 TDV6 55 Buckingham Blue Base

I just posted in this thread http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic73447.html of how I had a similar issue and it turned out to be a corroded wire in the door sill. Check it out.2006 D3 4.4 V8 Lifted w/ 33's

I get the same thing, but if i turn her off then turn her over again its ok for a while! strange...
Am going to try the burnt out wire in sill tomorrow and check fault codes and charge battery and change rear break bulbs!.
Some times the suspension lowers completely and sometimes it doesn't when it says on info panel it has.
Mine also says transmission fault, hdc fault break light illuminates red and two other light illuminate on dash.
Have just come back from Chamonix, French Alps with 1 metre snow drifts, torrential rain and winds and done 1,500 miles with no problems! 2 days later i got this problem!
