GOODYEAR MTR'S
I am thinking of buying Goodyear MTR'S for my new 19 inch wheels.
At present I am using Grabber AT2's on my 18 inch rims.
Is there much difference in road noise between the two?

You can have my set of slightly used 4 with brand new spare
Noise difference might be substancial especially over 70mph

I went from 18" AT2s to 19" MT/Rs a year or so ago.
There is a very noticeable noise increase - mainly at motorway speeds. The fuel consumption difference is even more noticeable though
I love the MT/Rs though. Off-road they are very good and I haven't yet had a puncture with them. 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

I have mentione before that mtrs took around 7-8% of previos consumption
Do not think that is very bad

Noisy - yes,
poor fuel - slightly
Log lasting - you bet, all four have just gone over 65,000 miles and there is still a bit left.
