Install of Yeasu FT9800... Complete

HI Guys,

After a number of suggestions about cable route and seeing a couple of ideas of mounting locations I jumped in and Installed it.

So the set up is a FT8900 with a Remote Head kit and a Remote speaker using a MLS- 200-M10.

The head unit and speaker fit nicely under the Ashtray and Socket's in the Centre Counsel, the Main unit I put on the outside of the Boot Nearside access cover, I went this way so I could take it out easy for use out of the Disco,

A friend that is an Auto Electric's engineer suggested using the small Fuse box in that Area, this has worked out well,

One issue I had is that the Speaker has a Three pole 3.5mm plug and the Extension Kit Speaker lead has a Two Pole 3.5mm Socket so will not connect and pass Audio through so I have had to find a converter from Ebay

Its now up and running I have just got to SWR the antenna in... the Meter has broken , so I ve ordered an new one

I got the set up from MLS, after a while of talking the complete set up ended up being £450 delivered that was the FT8900 Quad Band Transceiver, extension Kit, A Diamond CR8900 Quad Band Antenna, Bracket/Coax cable, Speaker, oh and a Wide Band up grade, delivered....

So if your going to Upgrade, I spoke to Richard there, just happens to be a Land Rover Nut as well...
