Sat nav--warning screen bypass and enter dest while moving..

I'm going to summarize this for everyone in case this is new to you.

So I've been searching everywhere for tips on #1, how to disable that stupid warning screen you must accept every time you start the vehicle and #2, how to disable the locked out functions while moving.

Two "features" that completely mess with the enjoyment of the vehicle....

Of course, during these searches, not many people have disabled the warning screen, and everyone discusses the 1791 temporary hack....a couple of people in the UK have seen that you can disable this in the diag screen but only after a software upgrade that I'm sure the US dealers either have no clue about, or won't touch at all.

Doing some additional searches, it seems that Denso supplies this same Navi system to Toyota and Cadillac. The Toyota thing, I happened to come across this:

http://www.coastaletech.com/nav_kit.htm

I wonder if that will also work in our Land Rovers? It removes both the warning screen and the movement lock out. And at only $99, that's a smokin' deal in my opinion.

Thoughts?

Screens do look very similar to those in the discovery. However, I find it no hassle to press 'I agree' on each trip - been doing it since 2006! You can get navigation on the move enabled at a dealer which is useful, so passenger can enter destination.

Could be worth a punt at $99 though but depends if those plugs are the same , so have a look at those in your car to see.

I'm afraid gentlemen, you can probably blame some of your less enlightened countrymen,or indeed your legal system, for the whole mess.....You have created(or allowed to be created), the most litigous country in the World, where personal stupidity counts for nothing if some corporation or other hadn't made it clear beforehand that doing something, that to the rest of us is " bloody obvious" was not in fact covered by a disclaimer first....I mean really, who would have thought coffee bought in Macdonalds would be hot ? Whistle
Unfortunately most other countries seem to have caught a chill as well......over here,we have removed common sense/personal accountability and replaced it under the smothering blanket of "Health and Safety" Rolling Eyes ....how we now get anything done,or go about our daily business defeats me....

morning all....rant over Embarassed
