Passed first time, no advisory notices. Can't tell you all how over the moon I am
The more I read on here the more I worry that the D3 is going to fall to bits in front of me, but forums always have more tales of woe than good news stories I guess by their very nature.
I didn't realise until recently that you can check your vehicle's MOT history online so you can see what it has failed on in the past with previous owners or what advisory comments were made in the past.
To my surprise and further joy my 72k miles 2004 D3 had passed all 3 of its previous MOTs first time and without any advisory notices on any of them. Thats 4 in a row then!
Maybe (fingers crossed) I got a good un after all
(just going outside to find out why the fuel flap has stopped locking and what the new rattle is from the boot )

you need either the document reference off the v5c or from an MOT (I think) plus the registration number (obviously)

Unfortunately the check won’t work for a Northern Ireland MOT

Discoteca,
Sharing in your joy Have just arrived home from my local Hi Q branch that have a special offer on of £35 for the MOT. Left it with them for an hour and walked back into reception, the mechanic came out to see me, was commenting on how immaculate the car was and telling me about his Series One Disco. It feels good to have 12.5 months ticket!

Mines going in for it's first MOT in my hands in a couple of weeks.
The link to the MOT history site is interesting.
It shows that on both it's previous MOTs my car has failed on the nearside stoplight bulb being blown, which is worrying as I had to replace that same bulb a couple of months ago. Must be something causing it to blow.
Nasher. Heaven doesn't want me, and hell is afraid I'll take over.
