Hello
Thank you for your membership.
I've owned Range and Land Rovers since 1987, and my mental breakdown continues to the grave ðŸ¤
Please try to bear with my poor language, because I live in Finland.

Hi,
As part of my 'keep active in retirement' plan, I bought 2014 Discovery 4 (the one that does not have '4' on the back door so it's just a Discovery). It has 143,000km and was used as a tow vehicle, never off-road. Now it's got muddy.
cheers,
Scott.

Hi, just signed up to have a look at the D3 and maybe purchase one. I had a 200tdi a few years ago and managed to write it off when the seat collapsed and the car had an argument with a hedge. Shame really, as I'd just done a valve job and she was running beautifully.

Just to elaborate a little, the valve job was done after a belt snap. The great thing was that only the valves got bent, a day's work and the belt and valves were done thanks to Haynes! That was when car shops held stocks on the shelf and the police only tested for red diesel when you took the Micky

Hi there,
I moved into a new (actually old) house in the Forest of Dean about a month ago, a little off the beaten track, so I knew that we would be needing a new vehicle to handle dirt tracks and to get us out when the slippy stuff comes. A few days ago I bought a 2005 D3 and I hope that it will be a comfortable workhorse to get me around for at least a few years.
It's a sport auto (already questioning that decision) and I have lots of questions, so I'll be trawling through the many posts on here to try to answer some of them.
Thanks for providing a place for sharing experiences, so newbies like me can get the most from the car.
Steve

Hi,
I just got a second hand D3. 250k km, seems in pretty good shape.
I come from a FL2 (i know, compared to a D3 it’s a baby toy!) and haven’t done any serious offroad. So far!
I am based in Rome and found the community trying to learn more about the D3, pros and cons.
I tell myself I bought it because my FL2 is stuck for a whole month for repairs and with four big dogs to carry around the FL2 had become too small anyways. The truth is I love the idea of freedom it gives. You can really go anywhere. So I guess I want to learn as much as I can on how to use it and ‘read’ it.
