Hi All, this is my first post so hope it’s in the right place! I’ve now had my DISCO3 HSE for one whole year on the 14th June and wish I’d had one a long time ago. It’s been a brilliant vehicle. I’ve just covered 900 miles up to Scotland and back and it made the journey much less trying. As soon as I bought her I had the oil and filters changed, a new battery and set of Goodyear tyres which are very robust and great in muddy fields. The only worrying problem I’ve had so far was completely self inflicted; I left the roof open over night and it hammered down for hours. As I sat inside water poured out of the interior light cluster and the electrics went mad! I’d switch off the engine and both the front and rear wipers would start swiping, the radio and centre control panel would flicker in and out of life. It was a worry so on a hot day I drove to the Dorset coast and back which evaporated the wet around the wiring and returned the controls back to normal! Phew. It’s done 135k miles so I am expecting something horrible to go wrong soon. Happy motoring. Charles

Hi all
Just bought a 2014 Landy 4 this afternoon. Very pleased with it indeed. Been a Range Rover driver before this.
Using it to tow a large double axle caravan in future.

New to Discovery 3
Hi
Just picked up a salvage D3 2008 - just bumper damage, airbags intact.
Couple of small issues:
1. EPB fault, replaced module, motor not turning - anyone have an EPB wiring diagram please?
2. OSR ride height 50mm more than the other wheels - could this be where Ive had it Jacked for a couple of days?

You're going to need a code reader to be able to live with the car!

GAP IID is the go to on here but the Autel AP200 (white) is a good second and much cheaper (can't do as much as the IID though)...I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Just picked up a late 2015 HSE Lux with AdBlue in Corris Grey, and 48k on the clock. It seems to have been well looked after with servicing etc. It's just had it's 7-year service with the belts, done by a main dealer. But fingers (and everything else crossed) there aren't too many major issues to cope with as time goes on. Not too bad a DIY maintenance, but it looks there are a few expensive horror stories to be wary of/hope don't occur.
Just going through the obligatory initial essentials purchasing list; IIDTool, anti-theft lamp brackets, spare wheel protector, rear lamp mod, DiskLok, ODB protection, etc.
Hope to have some trips away in it soon.
James

Have been a lurker on the forums and realized that I have never posted a hello here!
I have found so much info and help to sort out various things with my grey Disco 3 manual diesel 2005. I got it in 2015 and have changed the clutch, flywheel, front suspension arms, prop shafts. It has about 160k+ miles on it. Haven't used it much over the last couple of years with the pandemic and all.
Love it to bits!
I am normally the apprentice on all my disco repairs. Rely on my mate Chris who is the goto local disco expert. Thankfully he has a D3 as well .
Chris and this forum are the reasons that I still hold onto my Disco, as there are so many experts and help available, to sort out almost any D3 problem. Thank you!
Cheers!

Hello forum, and what a fantastic one it is too, as I would definitely struggle on so many things if it was not for this place and the encyclopedia of information and tried and tested fixes by it's members, so thanks very much and keep up the good work. Disco 3 is a good place to be. 2005 D3 2.7 TDV6 SE+
