Pirelli ATR
Currently running my disco on standard road tyres HSE 19" rims, and looking to change to an ATR tyre.
I found that the 255/55R19 Pirelli ATR is about the only ATR avaliable for 19"s.
Few questions to any one who knows!!
How good are ATRs off road?
Are they much noiser than road tyres?
Do you suffer from increased fuel consumption?
Is it worth changing to 18" rims to open up more choice for ATRs?

hi
the atr's are a good tyre and not worth changing to 18's
go for it
dunc life is tooooo short.enjoy the moment.dont worry be happy
Pirelli ATR is pretty much as good as the AT2 off-road but far superior on road, quieter and better corneringLRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

It's your only choice for 19" rims if you want an AT tyre, have you looked at Vredestein Wintrac's ?

What do the ATR's wear like as i changed from the pirelli Scorpion due to them not lasting long enough
when i had AT2's on my TD5 they lasted 60k so would be intrested in how they wear
as my experiance of pirelli tyres is how fast they wear out

I've done 3k on 18" ATRs (from original Scorpions) and can report no increase to fuel consumption, no increase in road noise and no noticeable change to handling / grip. Tyres still look new but early days yet, look 8) too
So far a big

Following a week of not being used, the D3 had a noticeable wheel vibration for the first 5 or so miles which has now disappeared. Suggests the ATRs develop flat spots when sitting for a few days but sort themselves out when they warm up again - anyone else noticed this?

Yep - have noticed this too, but only when parked for a few days. It sorts itself out after a few miles and wouldn't put me off buying another set. Although I'm hoping these are going to last a good while.
Has anyone got past 10,000 miles on ATR's yet? Interested to know what mileage they might be good for.

Had my ATR's fitted about 2k ago, find them quieter than the zero,s, handling seems to be the same, no diff in fuel consumption, managed to get 4 fitted by my local Kwick fit for £640 inc, running them on 18's, they do seem to be soft rubber so hoping they last longer that the Zero's they replaced
