Wheel Nut Torque
What amount of torque do the wheels nuts need to be tightened to?
I seem to recall the figure of 130, but can't find where I wrote it down
Thanks.

It's 140 Nm [+/- 10 Nm]...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Thanks ronp.
I'm going to attempt my first DIY wheel swap, using my new air jack. Normally get my mates garage to do it, but there's no excuses now.

I guess I am getting a bit paranoid about wheels, what with them being stolen, locking wheel nuts that may get stuck, uneven wear , unequal tread depths etc. Just to add to it, what do people do about the torque if you are stuck somewhere changing a wheel, do you just tighten it as much as you dare then limp home and get them checked, or do people carry torque wrenches around with them . If it is the latter , any reccommendations ?

In general Davro very few peeps carry torque wrenches around with them ...just tighten to a stop ...then apply an additional firm push to stop again 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
I carry an 18inch Draper extension bar with a six sided socket, without putting total effort into tightening I can easy get 140nm. It's just a matter of checking when I get home.

I carry a torque wrench where the jack should go. I feel happier that I know they are tight enough before I drive off. I keep the Takla down the side of the dog cage so I do have a jack, just not the LR one.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone
