XS Spec MY08 PDC on/off switch
Anyone here got a MY08 XS have a switch to cancel the rear (standard) PDC ?
Mine has not, yet my lesser MY05 'S' did have this.
Seems current HSE's do have and also the MY07 GS does too
Is mine missing ? Did LR delete it for some inane reason ?

Hi Simon,
I was just looking for that very thing last night - appears it's not there and the handbook only refers to a switch for front PDCs if fitted. Would be handy when trying to hear SWMBO instructions when hitching up the tintent. I was thinking about a dummy towbar electrics plug which would disable as I have a towbar fitted.
Mine is 08MY XS, reg September 2008.
Dex.

I was in Renny's 08MY XS a couple of days ago, and the lack of this switch was the first thing I noticed..... The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

So... who's got a termination plug we can use to turn off the bats when a bike rack it fitted ?
Its a bit of a challenge to get the plugs for a start!
The car has to work out the plug is in use, there is no sensor or anything to detect the plug is inserted so my guess is that its based on a load on the circuit. I would image from the running lights perhaps, or maybe the brake lights?
Can anyone tell me where this swtich is, I did not notice it when I read the manual after we picked up our HSE the other week. We have a button on the dash near the hazards, but I thought this was to enable the front PDC if you have not engaged reverse which activates F&R sensors, or does this switch have other uses?

my 3 1/2 year old 'S' did... but apparently the XS is deemed too lowly to have one
