TDV6 2.7L Engine specifications-where?

Hi all.

I'm on a project of rebuild a Jaguar engine to replace my broken one. I've found an engine that looks good, no debris in the oil filter and in the cranckcase also.
I want to fully disassembly this engine and verify that each of the internal components are in spec, but I can't find the specifications on internet.
I have the official LR workshop manual, also I bought the Haynes manual for this car but there is no specifications on both manuals.
It seems there is a Ford manual for this (Lion) engine, and there are the numbers I'm looking for, but I can not find this manual.
If somebody can help me to find these numbers or manual it would be to much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Gstuart.

This manual shows the same information I have in the Land Rover manual, torque setting and some more info.
What I'm looking for are the cilinder bore diameter, crankshaft mains and big ends diameters, both running clearances, piston-to-bore running clearance, etc, etc...

But anyway thank you for your help, much appreciated.

Note: In my first post, when I say "Rebuild" an Jaguar engine, you must read I want to be sure all internal components are in spec before replace the broken engine on my Discovery...That's why I need that info.

U need the ford engine build manual. It exists, but ford don’t give that data to JLR, Citroen, etc.
Look at LR time videos, he uses it.
Series one 1949 - in bits, chassis is strapped to the ceiling in my garage (beside the canoe)
LR 90 - In bits
Disco 3 - currently in bits

Yes...there is where I saw the existence of a manual with that information.
Christian and Vera says in one of the videos they don't share manuals or things that are under Copyright laws, and that's why I did not asked this manual to them.
Looks like it's so difficult to find this Ford manual...

Australia

Maybe try downloading an Australian Ford Territory manual - maybe it has the information you need.

If I find this manual I'll post here,

The ford F150 powerstroke pick up has the 3.0 TDV6 - see the engine manual below. Obviously the the ancillaries are different, but crank, block, heads are the same.

That’s great news ref the territory

Would indeed be such a fantastic breakthrough if these blocks were available in the uk and could be fitted into the D3/4 as a replacement

Or if the crank is the same and can be interchanged , assume there’s a difference of why they don’t fail where the LR ones do

At the end of the day such a great shame that JLR haven’t stepped up to the plate to at least offer a solution to the many poor owners that have written there landies off due to the cost

Really hope this is the answer and of course massive credit to the many forum members who have spent endless hours researching this

If the transmission bolt pattern in the engine block is the same then it will fit into D3/D4
The crakshaft is the same in both cars, also the pistons, heads, conrods, etc...

It seems that 2011 to 2014 Territory cars where using ZF 6HP26 (the same in the Auto Disco's), but it was replaced by ZF 6HP21 in 2014 to 2016 cars. I don't know if both 6HP26 and 6HP21 have the same bolts pattern...

Hope that helps somebody...

Thank you for that.
I'm not sure if they share the same crank, heads, etc., mainly because the bore and stroke of the 3.0 Liter is not the same as in the 2.7, so any thing inside the block should be different. Maybe the crankshaft only, or the main and big end bearings, I don't know..., but anyway thank you for the information.
