Front seat head restraints, GS 2008MY

What the????

OK, according to the Disco 3 manual, the front seat head restraints move up/down by pressing the button in under one of the legs.

Not on My 2008 GS they dont!
The head restraints look like the old Mk 1 disco with the black rubber edges to the restraints and they do not move.

Is this normal????? Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

How am I spposed to lift the resraints to fit the DVd player bracket to them FFS!!!

As far as I know it is only the HSE model that has adjustable head restraints. My XS is like yours. I was also confused by the manual.

Hi Guys,

I've got an HSE and I don't think my head rests are adjustable at all. They've got the handle down the side and seem pretty fixed to me. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I thought they would tilt at least but they don't seem to do that either. I can't see a button anywhere either. Have I been diddled!! Confused

cheers

Oh Well, I always have my seat tilted so far back it's rather more like a pillow than a headrest!! Laughing

Why do you need to adjust them ? They are plenty high enough to protect against whiplash.

If you need them adjustable check out Mounty's mod: http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic10251.html

Actually, being the height I am, no they are not. the head restraint does not work as a whiplash restraint for me. It could actually cause damage to my neck.

I've got a 2008 (no idea what the difference between 2008 and 2008.5 is... mine was delivered in February), LR3 V8 HSE with all the options and my headrests are fixed with the side handles like a classic Disco. No adjustment at all.
