EPB Though may be linked... |

Afternoon all
2006 Manual
Its been off the road for a couple of months due to MOT, or lack of it... I have refurbed the handbrake shoes etc.. got everything working as it should...
Then a few days later, its not gone anywhere... I get the U2002-01, changed the switch no difference... now I swapped over the battery and have left it running for an hour or so, as Im in Caithness the weather is crap and thought it might help charge up and dry out the car from damp... Turn the car off, go to position 2 with the key and EPB works fine, turn the car on and about 10 seconds later the U2002-01 is back...
I don't know if its linked but now got an airbag warning light...
Could the alternator be on its way and causing faults on the system?
Any advice help etc would be gratefully recieved, got an MOT booked for Tues and and Im pullling out whats left of my hair!!!!

This rings a bell. I'm sure it's an open circuit issue, (broken wire from switch to EPB module).
Do a search on here.

Worth searching that fault code on here.
I think you can get broken wires
