| total loss of power on starting |

randomly sometimes when I get in my car, put the key in and turn it - I get a total loss of power to the car
no lights, no dash no nothing, car completely shuts down
if I take the key out, open/close the door, try and lock/unlock with the fob then it comes back to life and I drive off ok. everything has reset though (clock, radio etc)
anyone know what would cause this? no error codes or warnings and nothing showing up in IID

Sounds like a bad connection somewhere. I'm sure others will give more insight soon but have you checked that the battery is connected correctly?

Poor ground connection to battery I guess.
Maybe at the inner wing
