L320 RRS and D3 suspension |
|
Hi, does anyone know if there is anything different (or the same) between the RRS L320 suspension and the D3''s?
I know they share a platform, although the L320 is a shorter wheelbase and different body.
Are the suspension parts interchangeable? And are they calibrated the same? i.e. for how they ride on and off road and amount of suspension travel.
I know some models of L320 had the Dynamic handling package (aka ACE version II), which as far as I know wasn't offered on the D3.
Thanks.

RRS front arms are meant to be heavy duty and can be fitted

Just an understanding how they compare or differ.
I really like the idea of a D3 (to replace my p38), but I'm not keen on the TDV6. Such a shame the TDV8 was never offered in the D3. So also considering an L320 RRS. The D3 has a great reputation off road and I am curious if the capabilities of the RRS differ at all from a suspension point of view.

Speak to Disco Mikey if you are wanting the 3.6TDV8 in a D3! I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Off road capabilities are very similar.
Some even say the RrS models with active antiroll Bars are better off road due to more wheel articulation.
Most RRS have this except early tdv6 (and 4.4 petrol I think ) but they do leak and are prone to failure and expensive repair
Anyway close enough not to be a factor in choosing.
RRS are only 5 seat with small boot space
