Suspension fault - Lateral Accelerometer Component Failure

Hi all,

Any help with these fault codes would be appreciated, this is the first real suspension fault i have had in many years of discoing. The old disco was still on its original compressor at 180k miles, this is the new to me v8 project with 110k on it.
The handbrake relay is currently removed as still not got round to rebuilding the EPB.

This screenshot is from before clearing codes:

After clearing codes i now have these:

Where is this "lateral accelerometer component" is it the Yaw Sensor ?
Is that located in the centre of the car under the fridge / centre console area ?

After clearing i do not have the C1A97 error anymore, but i have not driven it anywhere. Im glad i got the screenshots before clearing.
Any advise appreciated
TIA Jensen

Thanks for that great link @gstuart, your always a wealth of knowledge Bow down

Just taken it for a test drive, as the suspension is currently playing ball, the "yaw sensor" readings are spiking wildly today...... looks like an absolute mare to get at this sensor Big Cry
