[For Sale] Discovery 3 2006 06 153k Miles
Hi All,
Advert Order Number = 230911-993
Unfortunately, it is now time to sell my beloved D3. I've had her for 3 years now and she’s been absolutely fantastic. She’s mechanically sound, I've changed the oil and filter every 6k miles as an intermediate service and on to a specialist every year. Anything that's needed doing has been done. I've always taken it to a specialist every 12 months who have taken care of us since I bought her.
She’s had 3 owners from new and covered 153500 miles (this will change as its being used daily!)
Now for the important info… Stuff that's been done.
Cam-belts & major service June 2020 (prev owner) @ 120k miles.
Alternator (Denso) 2020 (prev owner)
Battery 2020 (Excide EA1000)
Oil pump 2020
Rear prop 2020
Nearside front drive shaft 2020
Rear brake lines (2020)
New gearbox & torque converter Jan 2021 (Gloucester Road Gearboxes, Bristol)
New front diff 2021 (Yeovil Land Rover Recon)
New front & rear discs, pads, shoes 2021
New rear calipers 2021
New tyres 2022
Reconditioned air suspension compressor (AMK) 2022
New offside front drive shaft 2023
New front prop 2023
New offside front wheel bearing (Timken) 2023
New diesel return lines 2023
New thermostat 2023
New coolant crossover 2023
New starter motor 2023 (Denso)
Recon fuel tank guard 2023
The interior is in REALLY good shape, its like the rear seats have never been sat in! The dashboard is starting to crack but I’ve put a dash cover on to protect it. All the carpets are like new and have had the genuine LR rubber mats on from new from what I can see.
I managed to get a heated windscreen fitted, put in a new HVAC control panel in with the heated screen button etc but unfortunately it still doesn’t work! Bummer!
I’ve replaced the external windscreen A-Pillar covers with genuine LR ones (cost a bloody fortune) and I’ve also replaced the lower windscreen scuttle panel with a genuine LR one as the old one was sun bleached and making the car look untidy! I’ve replaced the window seals with new ones too because the old ones were bubbling and making the car look untidy too!
One thing id have liked to have done to complete the cosmetic side of things… The only thing that’s outstanding is a re-alignment of the front wings! The panel gap between the front wing and the drivers & passenger door isn’t even. The car has had no history of accident damage, the LR specialists can’t find any signs of accident damage either… so they just need aligning.
All in all, it’s a really good truck that’s in excellent condition for its age and mileage. The mileage will continue to go up because I drive 300 miles a week to and from work and have done for the past 3 years!
Thanks for taking the time to read the AD. Id really like to see her go to a good home!
Price is £3000 ONO Open to offers!
Cheers
