Leak from interior light console

Hi all - have just had a look on previous posts to see if this has been reported before, but I just got in my car (had been standing outside in very heavy rain for about 2 hrs). When I drove away I was getting a very regular dripping of water, coming from the interior light console (where the rear view mirror is etc.) In the plastic housing there is a small hole, and the water was running from that. I would say about 10ml+ came out, as it was collecting around the gear lever in small puddles.

Is this anything to do with the sunroof issue that I see has been raised by others? I also had a leak coming from the 'A' pillar on the driver's side, but not as bad - probably 7 or 8 drops on to the steering wheel. My worry is that this could be one of those tricky leaks that never gets properly resolved - in which case I want to know where I stand with changing the car. I've had it 6 wks now. It's an Oct 06 on a '56 plate.

Thanks in advance

Simon

Do you have a sunroof??? If so, could be the old blocked drain tube problem.

Here's my experience on my previous D3. There have been other cases, seems to be the drain tubes that block up.

Very useful info in that thread re TSB from DiscoStu, was mega useful for the dealer.

Thanks for that - will print your previous thread off and take it to dealer I think!

Thanks again,
