Can you bench test an Electronic Parking Brake module ?

I've renovated an Electronic Parking Brake module, returned to me by the Dealer when they fitted a new module to the car.

I'm wondering if there is a way to bench test it. Clearly, the motor/gearbox can be connected to 12V by-passing the circuit board. But I'd like to make sure it's working properly through the modules circuit board and plug.

Anyone had any experience of this ?

Thanks NC500.

£125 sounds a good price for a profesional rebuilt and tested unit.

But I've already rebuilt mine (as a spare), so would like to bench test it. It would be painful to remove a fully working unit on the car, just to test this spare.

Surely, there must be a way to bench test it.

Could you just pull the plug on the fitted one and plug it into the spare one or would this not work?
