Clutch pedal problem

Hope someone can help with advise on this

Clutch unit and flywheel replaced 1000 miles ago under warranty , car mileage now 33K

Recently clutch pedal has developed strange fault as follows

Clutch pedal sticks on upstroke at about 2/3rds of the way up.
This tends to occur when the vehicle has travelled for some distance and then only for a few operations.
When this happens if the clutch pedal is operated by hand with the driver’s door open the sound of a spring releasing ‘twang’ can be heard at dash level.

Of course dealer was unable to replicate fault and therefore could not fix.
I do not think they looked to far as they were also dealing with replacing ARB bushes and water leak - new door seal probably required but out of stock.

Call LR customer services if your not happy. There have been a few service bulletins around the clutch. It was modified I believe on later model years.

Was only replaced 1,000 miles ago, so I can't think they'd be replacing with the older style ones Simon...?

Sorry... not saying that Embarassed Embarassed

Just call LRCS and have them kick the dealer into checking it out.

Probably not the new clutch playing up, more likely a clutch master cylinder problem (piston sticking) or return spring broken.

Thanks gents

I was told that the clutch replacement was with latest type parts , that included clutch Kit LLR005809 - Flywheel
L4602296 & Cylinder LUUB000100

I assumed the cylinder replaced was the slave cylinder so the master cylinder may well be the problem.

I am due back to dealer net week for door seal to be fitted and will get them to investigate further.

I just wish I could demonstrate the problem but ther relevant law states that it will not happen

At least the fault is registered and warranty runs to November
