Used Lanoguard - Now my suspension has dropped!
So I decided that it would be a good idea to care for my D3 and give it some under-chassis rust protection. Lanoguard seemed to offer a good choice with value and ease of use. Yesterday I pressure washed the underneath of the care as instructed and applied the Lanoguard rust protection.
Woke up this morning to see the car has dropped. Not on the bump stops yet but slightly below access mode (I have checked and the module is in normal mode setting). It's one bloody thing after another with this car, so annoying.
I'll do some diagnosis today and take out the fuse to see if I can identify where the leak is but an early question.....my initial annoyance is aimed at Lanoguard as ultimately I've applied their product according to their instructions and now my car is broken. I will be getting in touch. However, they state that it's safe to use on all materials and is non-perishable so I'm just wondering whether it was the pressure washing stage that may have caused some kind of issue??
Any thoughts oh wise ones or any similar experiences?

More likely the pressure washing than the lanoguard. Or just an unfortunate coincidence. Did you raise the suspension to do the spraying job?Richard

Used Lanoguard on a few vehicles now with no issues, I'm guessing, if its related, the pressure wash beforehand has possibly penetrated one of the multi plug connectors and nothing to do with Lanoguard - just my thoughts!

Yeah, my growing suspicion too now. Yes, the suspension was raised to do the job as I had the car in Off-road mode and one axle driven up onto some portable ramps that I have so I could get underneath as much as possible.
What could the pressure washing do in terms of causing a fault though? Break a seal somewhere or electronics?

Prob just because you had it jacked or odd angles

In what way do you mean then Pete? It wasn't jacked or at any odd angle really. My driveway slopes downwards and I had ramps at the bottom that I drove onto in off-road mode with both wheels. So, essentially the car was probably close to being level but raised off the drive so I had a good sized void underneath to get access.
What sorts of things might you think have failed? I mean, I'll do the diagnosis later today to see where it's dropping but any thoughts right now as to where to start would be appreciated

Perhaps you have a leaky air bag, that was aggravated by being in off road height?Richard

Thanks rrhool....I guess I need to do the diagnosis really don't I
Well, I've just started the car to make sure it raises and there's no errors and all good there. I'll move it later to a level surface and take out the fuse and see what happens overnight.
Thanks all

Bit weird but I left the car overnight and it didn't drop. I hadn't taken out the fuse or anything so not trying to diagnose yet but seems to have magically cured itself
I'm guessing that perhaps some water had temporarily messed with the electrics (ride height maybe) or perhaps the reservoir and system was empty when I finished cleaning it as I was up and down on the suspension but perhaps switched off the car so it didn't get to re-pressurise and therefore dropped overnight more than usual??
Who knows but thankfully all seems well again and hopefully it's protected a little from the salt and this winter.
