Left side heating stopped working

Hi all

My left side heating doesn’t work, just blows mildly warm at best

I did remove and clean the matrix ages ago

Can anyone advise please is this issue indicating something else potentially? Or is the matrix the only thing that it could be?

Wondering also - is it wise to drain the coolant at the lowest point as to get rid of any crud?

Coolant liquid still looks fresh and clean in the reservoir, but due to this issue I’m wondering should the coolant system get some TLC? Maybe a new radiator?

Thanks as always

Matrix still part blocked, new matrix is the best cure.
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Hi is it highly likely to be the matrix? Or a guess?

Cheers

It’s very common.

Could be a blend motor flap door.

You could remove and flush the matrix again
Or you could price up a nissens replacement (ensure pipes are the same length/join locations as yours) and decide it’s not worth flushing

nissens Is a radiator brand
Not car brand, as in Nissan micra

It’s a certainty, with the blend motors you have right side(drivers) and left(passenger), the right side is the master, the left side the slave, if the temperature on the drivers side can be adjusted there is nothing wrong with that motor.
The left side is the slave and can only adjust the temperature +/- 3 degrees from the right side so in a worse case scenario the left side can only be 3 degrees below the drivers side.
The problem with flushing is the water flow in the matrix comes out the same side as the inlet not like a conventional radiator where the water flows through the radiator(matrix).
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
