4 pots on the front and v8 on the back

I upgraded to the v8 front carrier and discs and I'm now thinking about 4 pots for the front and wondered if the v8 carrier and caliper would fit on the back, I assume the disc is different to allow of the hand brake.

Also, does anyone know if the 4 pots fit in the 18" Terrafirma wheels?

Cheers

D4 brakes felt more powerful than D3 V8 brakes to me.

How about fitting D4 brakes front and rear to your D3?

I can’t comment on your rims, but Compomotive 18”s fit over the D4 front brakes, just. I doubt a bigger calliper (4 pot) would fit under any 18” rim.

I can’t recall anyone having fitted the D3 V8 front carrier and calliper (same for the V8 and TDV6) on the rear, but others might. Thumbs Up

The rear caliper carrier for the V8 upgrade is only £35 from AF https://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/sxp50001...2404-p.asp

And is a different part number to the front which is https://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/seh50001...2403-p.asp

If you really want to stop quicker then the 6 pot upgrade is the best way but you’ll need 20” rims! https://maltings4x4store.co.uk/products/cu...6-pot.html

Thanks for replies. The brakes on my D3 are pitiful in comparison to the wife's RRS 4.4 V8 and before I start replacing anything else I wondered if it'd be worth upgrading to the 4 pots. The D4 brakes might be an option but I don't want to go bigger than 18" ideally and I currently have the Terrafirma steelies on it. I've got the option to buy some 4 pots for £80, so seemed like the ideal solution. Might have to rethink that then.

You won't be disappointed with V8 front and rear upgrade Thumbs Up

The D4 front discs are the same size as 4 pot Brembo's, but will need 19" wheels to fit

The 6 pots are an awesome upgrade, but not cheap...

But before any of this, a cheap set of brake pads can ruin the braking effort/feel, as can a damaged servo. Worth checking before anything else Thumbs Up

Cheers Mike. The 6 pots would be great, i have 6 pot brembos on my other car, but I don't want the bigger wheels. I've seen the Terrafirma wheels will fit the 360mm discs with a spacer, so that may be an option as I already have a set.
How can I test the servo? If I need a new one, is it possible to use a RRS upgraded servo?
Thanks again.
