undo some bolts, remove some pipes, takes some belts off? Is that close - is it an exam question? Laughing

Nope!
The power steering belt issue I had this week was more than that.
Something to do with the clutch on the Air Cond Compressor.
I had D3 recoverd to home rather than dealer [cos I thought it was only the drive belt].
Local garage unsure how it comes off, cos there's no space.
So just wondered if anyone had the know how on this site.

I'll bear your tips in mind though Al Wink

Bit of a thread mine here, but I'm going to need to change my A/C compressor soon (once the new one arrives). Having a look through LR's write up on how to remove it has me not at all that excited on doing the job. Looks bloody tight. Was having a think outside the box and was wondering if anyone has dropped the front diff out for easier access? I've seen some pics of the area with the front diff removed and access to the A/C compressor looks to be quite good that way - only issue I could see that may create an issue for removal is the trans cooler lines. Anyone got any thoughts?

Or…. Do a body off job and when you are there anyway, do some other work, like HPFP belt, rear brake pipes, turbo actuator (s), that kind of work….

Within 4 hours a body is off, when you have a 2 post lift, that is…
 Best regards

Turd job, if you can afford to pay someone to do the job do so!

If diy then remember to fit plug to compressor before wiggling it back into its hole.
