Where is TCCM (Transfer Case Control Module?) Disco 4

Hey folks,

Ive been getting some gearbox fault/transmission controll errors and im looking for the TCCM box. Everything ive read said its behind the battery but the only thing I see behind my battery is much bigger than the TCCM pictures ive seen. (Photo attached)

Any help in locating the Disco 4 TCCM much appreciated Smile

Its on the drivers side and sits against the inner wing close to the bonnet hinge. It sits in a plastic box with the wires coming in from underneath and from memory needs the alarm sounder and a few other brackets removed to get at it. Sorry no pictures! Good luck! Thumbs Up

Transfer box ecu is more or less the same from 2.7 to 3ltr as far as i am aware. Roughly 6" x 4"x 1" (again from memory!) It is mounted against the inner wing and not across the car as the ones in the photo appear to be.

Just to confirm , when you say drivers side do you mean UK drivers side? (Right hand drive). I have brake fluid tank and lines on the drivers side nearish the bonnet hinges. With the car Battery on the passenger side.

Yes! Remove the large cover (similar to the battery cover on the other side) and the module sits in the area between the bonnet hinge and the gas strut that supports the bonnet.
