Any idea how to get this bolt out?

Hi All,

Any ideas on how to remove this bolt without damaging the bushing below, is just turning Rolling Eyes





also on the other side do I need to let the air out of the suspension (currently set to high with fuse 3 out) to be able to line up the upper suspension arm to the lower/bearing?

The bolt is rusted to the inner sleeve of the bush if its spnning you need to replace the bush Andrew

D3 2.7tdv6 2005
D4 3.0 SDV6 Commercial died and gone to LR heaven
D5 3.0 SDV6 HSE

I use a set of bush removal tools but you can just as easy use a socket the same size as the bush a large deep socket for the other side and a legth of threaded rod.

In this video he removes the bush quite easily unlike the other bushes. Andrew

Funny you point me to this video as I've seen this a couple of times and it feels just like my story Rolling with laughter been on both sides now a couple of weekends, get so far then hit another stumbling block and have to order more parts LOL..

What bushing removal kit do you recommend seem to be loads on fleabay..?

Any easy way to remove that bolt or use up my final recip blades on it?

erm OK sawn off the bolt... and tried burning the bolt out which made a nice mess Smile




Is the only way to get this out now with a bushing removal kit? If so any recommendations?

EOP today , next weekend it is I guess..
