Hi all.
All four corners need replacing and ECP are doing a big sale on brembo products. Although we all know how these sale things work. They are basically the same price as all their other brands.
My question is should I upside to the bigger discs involving new carriers or stay the same size and use ECP or should I use rimmer bros or britpart etc. Vented and drilled? but I don't tow so only used for school runs and 2 mile journey to work and back. Mods:
LR Chrome mirrors
De-tangoed,
LED rings in front lights,
Hids4u all external leds,
Rears removed,
D4 rear lights with hids4u reverse led,
Clear repeaters,
Side steps,
Mud guards,
Roof Rails - removed,
D4 Modded Grill,
20" stormers with grabbers,
EGR blanked and removed
Next: remap - BAS? Bluefin?

I believe performance Brembo stuff is made in the UK.
EPC Brembo are just elcheapo brake parts, they are using the name to sell the product.
I would certainly fit quality discs, the cheap ones will give you issues
Vented/drilled bit of a waste for a road car, I think the v8 brake upgrade is worthwhile for the front, not so much for the rears.
I am currently running the cheapest brake pads money can buy, 25quid for both axles, and I have to say not bad at all, though the rears are noisy !
EBC greenstuff pads really make a difference, but 85 quid per axle, plus they dont last.

Only reason I mentioned drilled and vented was because I watched britpart videos and thought if they sold them they use be worth doing.
So avoid the brembo, how about EBC, bosch or paid, would you say they are quality or stick to LR? Mods:

I’m using genuine Brembo discs and pads on my FFRR. I can’t tell any difference between them and the originals. Other than the paint on the Brembos is far superior. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

There’s a QR code on Brembo parts you go to their website and scan it and it tell you if the part is genuine or not.
I found this after buying Brembo high carbon discs on the bay, they were genuine as was the Brembo pads I got from ECP.
The Brembo performance is excellent (I upgraded to V8) and initially the dust was dreadful but has settled down to just a lot😬 Steve

The V8 brake upgrade was a complete transformation on my D3. As standard the brakes felt just 'adequate'. The V8 brakes gave it a much more confident feel, especially when towing. It's probably not so much extra stopping power, as more 'bite' to the pedal. Worth every penny in my opinion.
I wouldn't especially choose Brembo over another 'known' make, but I wouldn't reject them either. For disks and pads, I try to pick a 'known' make, but otherwise whatever is a good price. (A 'name' doesn't guarantee quality any more as others have said, but it does improve the odds)
No need for drilled or grooved disks unless you're heading for a track day, in which case the D3 is better suited as the tow car
I have nothing good to say about Britpart.

V8 upgrade is different carriers and bigger discs but the same calipers, the "Brembo upgrade" uses the larger 4 or 6 pot calipers from the RRS V8...
It's also possible to upgrade a D3 with 330mmm fronts to the D4 spec 360mm fronts which gives a similar improvement... biggest issue for most is cost... I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!
