Hi I think my torque converter has gone. Judder, noise, bouncing rev needle.
If the TC has gone, what else will need to be replaced? Has it screwed anything else up?
Also if anyone had this done, what was the cost?
Bit of a panic as I can see a bill for 4k or something.
Many thanks.

Hi,
I've been told it'd be about £1200-1400 to replace the TC, that's for a new one with fitting, that was from Tim McKnight on the FB owners group. I can't help with the likelihood of other parts needed. Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey

Had the TC done on my D3 last year and the total bill was around £1300 including fitting and parts.. not quite as bad as you think I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

I had the same symptoms and it was indeed the TC that was the culprit.
You should speak to Bristol Transmissions, they are just off the M4 and M32. They're specialists and do huge number of Land Rovers, they sorted a new TC and thorough inspection of the gearbox for just under £1500 with a 12 month 15,000 mile warranty.
Drives like new. 2022 BMW i4 M50. Bought Oct 2022. 10,200 miles and counting...
