What do you use on scratches and swirl marks ?
just got a quote for paint correction and detailing for my Disco, nearly fell over 😱 so I think I’m pretty handy and have a decent 6 speed dual action polisher which I bought ages ago and never used, don’t ask!!
So looking for opinions from others as to what you’ve used, success or failure. I’m leaning towards Maguiars but that’s probably because I’ve just watch some of their videos.

I used to use Meguires but now i use Car tech its far superior and you need very little off it.
I use the diamond cut 3000 to remove ghosting when sign writing is removed and this stuff does it in one pass, Meguires would take three passes.Andrew

Excellent and thanks for contributing. This is great as word of mouth and product use is invaluable 👍

Iv had farecla g3 and g10, g3 being the compound and the g10 finishing, then normally finish with autoglym super resin polish, which is a brilliant for all uses.2015 D4 HSE Loire Blue

Just done my RRS for the first time even though I’ve had it 18 months, lots of scratches and swirl marks used Maguiars ultimate compound applied with a machine then Autoglym super resin polish by hand and finish off with two coats of hard wax.

Another vote for meguairs ultimate compound , after that any decent polish and final wax is good enough .
I used a da polisher , their you tube channel has some good instruction stuff on for using a Da polisher .
Take your time and you will be well impressed with the results

I find it quite addictive but after a while the usual comments of.. “you can do mine when your finished” get a little tiresome lol2015 D4 HSE Loire Blue

Toss up between Meguiars or Farecla G3 Pro. Ended up with G3 pro as Halfords had it on offer. So 4 hours of elbow grease and really pleased with the results. Yes very addictive 😳

I previously used 3M Fast Cut XL Compound followed by the Ultrafine finishing compound on my met black Volvo. Quite agressive mind you. IIRC, I also followed up with Meguires ultimate compound but didn't notice much difference.
At some point I'll be doing my black D3 which has some deep swirls in places.2005 Discovery 3 HSE 2.7TDV6 Auto
