Ulez converting
Hi all, I hope you are well. I have a 2006 Diesel discovery 3. Is it possible to convert it to Ulez compliance? (I mean converting Euro 3 to Euro 6 )
Thanks

No, too many obstacles to overcome so whilst it may be "technically possible" it's a non runner on cost alone.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Trading up to a Euro 6 would be cheaper, much cheaper!yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

It’s not the first time this question has been asked. The answer is as above.
The additional hurdle is also getting it registered as an EU6 vehicle, when it was first registered as an earlier EU number. I can’t remember the exact issues, but I think that is also a non-starter.

I wonder if anyone has tried to get a euro3 vehicle tested to see if it passes the euro6 standard - its quite common to get motorcycles re classified these days05 D3 V8 HSE, LR Passion tree bars, wildbear compressor guard, LRP switch panel, ARB rear locker + compressor, Trigger 6 shooter electrical system

In order for it to Comply with Euro 6 a diesel vehicle would need to have a very complex myriad of upgrades to both the powertrain and PCM/ECM systems. It's not just a matter of meeting the strict exhaust emissions protocols, but also making the necessary driveline and body modifications to get you to there.
For example, but not limited to: Suitable GVW reduction, Transmission upgrade, automatic stop/start, NOx absorber system, as well as SCR (Adblue) and Cerium additive systems. There's also the exhaust system itself which needs upgrading. Then you have all the sensory gubbins/wiring upgrades which need to be incorporated into the PCM/ECM.
Even if you could upgrade a D3 to this level, you then face the battle of having the vehicle reclassified as Euro6/ RDE compliance, and good luck with that.
ULez converting? I thought this was a gender-fluidity discussion .
