Suspension fault thoughts

Hi all,

I'm currently getting the dreaded suspension bong warning, every time I drive.

It doesn't happen straight away, but usually eventually comes up on every trip.

Message states "Suspension fault, normal height only". It doesn't affect driving, other than the warning light

I've read the codes and I see this:
Suspension

C1A20-64 (6C) Pressure increases too slow when filling reservoir - Algorithm based failure - signal plausibility failure
( on 22-07-2023 00:02:28 at 232916 km )

One other piece of info, recently swapped out front lower arms and had 4 wheel alignment done, could be related?

Thoughts appreciated Thumbs Up

Hi,

Sounds like the compressor..........

Can you select the different heights and see the compressor pump up the corners.....
Plus a couple of resets.......

Cannock Spares used to do good deals on replacement ones......
Or you can try the DIY service route to dry out the desiccant.

Could be a crack on the dryer end cap
Or corroded out air tank

I've had both

Oh dear, how sad, never mind.

Seriously though [a long shot] you havent changed any bulbs recently have you?
In my D3 days it was known for a simple bulb change to set off all sorts of bongs, particularly with suspension issues.
So much so, in my travels if a bulb went I'd take it into the nearest dealer and get them change it.
Cost me then about £10 a shot, but then if anything went bong, it was their issue to source and sort.

As said, a long shot!

If there are no leaks present (reservoir for example) then most likely it's just the drier is compacted and unable to handle the air flow. If its a Hitachi it could also have a cracked cap as Sea Raider says, either way it's an easy fix but don't let it drag on or you will risk damage to the compressor.

Recent suspension work is not related. Thumbs Up

If the cap is cracked it's likely to be between where the pipes connect at the blue and orange connections.
