Can I test MAF with multimeter |
|
As above really. Got an odd throttle response as detailed elsewhere and I want to rule out a dodgy MAF. I've seen a couple of good you tube videos showing how you can test using a multimeter but the MAF connector on my D3 does a pretty good job of being sealed so I can't get the probes in to measure resistance whilst the engine is running.
Is this possible to do or do I need to get the codes read?
It's a 2006 D3 TDV6... cheers!

Thanks Patman. I don't have a reader and testing the MAF is normally quite a simple job with the multimeter so just seeing if anyone knows how to probe the leads.
Appreciate next step may need to be to a dealer for code read but that's inconvenient

You can buy an Autel code reader for under £50 which is a lot less than a dealer would charge to read the codes once. Andrew
