D3 NON START

Hi , I am here hoping someone with more knowledge can help out. I have a 2005 d3 tdv6 , non start issue . Replaced lpfp (faulty), lp fuel is now 7 psi at shraeder valve , no fault code for low fuel pressure but only seeing 41000 hpa (cranking) good tdc signal.Replaced fuel filter. Alternator light flashes when cranking and vehicle does actually run at low idle no rev response for a few seconds, all while alt light flashes/flickers randomly ,I have replaced alternator today as bearings were rough and noisy . Could I be looking at vcv or can hpfp internals cause some pressure increase but lower than required to start ??Original fault was loss of power on motorway, then non start .Cheers

You need to check the fault codes otherwise its all guess work.

You may need to do a lpfp reset.

aja4x4 ,no engine ecu codes stored at all using Snap On diagnostics , tried a hard reset , also done ecu reset on diagnostic. Lots of faults on dash, hdc, suspension level , transmission malfunction etc.Thinking I need to check whole alt loom across engine for damage , I've also replaced a bad earth on engine/body. Cheers

Did you replace the complete lpfp or just fit a replacement pump? I take it that it ran ok before you changed the pump apart from the power loss.
If you have the early fuel filter with four pipes just double check they are on in the right positions.

Yes , changed complete lpfp assembly . Looking more likely an injector fault (leakoff)causing pressure loss. Will update when kit arrives ,thanks for your input so far. Very Happy
