Squealing when turning

I've had this on my D3 for some time now. I've just had new lower arms fitted along with new sway bar D bushes and drop links. I've greased the stop nuts on both sides on the front and back.

I thought this would solve it but the car is still making a grinding sound as it goes left/right. The news arms have lost a bit of paint where they have touched the grooved V's on the stop nut. Could this still be the cause of the noise? Could it be a front bearing?

I'm stumped as is my mechanic

Thats a good shout.

The alignment is way off at the moment so hopefully that will sort it. It will be Hunter 4 wheel aligned next week.

When you say steering calibration what is involved in that?

After the alignment has been done the previously "learned" steering wheel position relation to the wheels will have changed. This needs to be reset (calibration) via a diagnostic tool.

It only takes 5 mins to do, but it must be done or you can experience faults as well as compromising the vehicle safety systems. DSC,HDC,ABS etc. Thumbs Up

Turned out to be the brake shield on the passenger side. It's now in the bin and the noise is gone
