v6 petrol EGR indulgence

an indulgence request please , if anyone with a V 6 petrol 4Ltr D3 is about with their IID tool could you please look at EGR Stepper position in live values and let me know if yours reads anything except 0.0 as mine does. i suspect mine is jammed shut but would like confirmation before throwing it out oh, and while you are in there my fuel rail TEMPERATURE reads - 40 all the time which i assume is a busted sensor so a confirmation read would be lovely. thanks all in advance Smile

Just seen your post.

Is this what you are looking for. Engine idling. Egr stepper didn't change when I revved it to 2500rpm.

Vehicle parked in garage. Let me know of you want me to drive it to see if egr stepper changes.

Cheers Blake

Yeah, very odd about the -40oC number. My engine running smoothly and starting with no problems. Open road motoring I'm doing about 11.5 L/100kms according to vehicles trip computer

Let me know if you want me to capture live data while driving, say 100 kph. I don't mind if it helps a fellow V6 petrol owner.

No worries at all.

Blake

Yes my iid tool says tbe same so does my professional obd2 tool. I checked wiring diagram and cannt actually see a fuel temp sensor , tbe v8 has one but I'm getting the feeling tbe v 6 does not especially as I cannt find it as a listed part anyway. Yes my Disco was turning in 13.5 until recently now 18 per 100. My ob2 tool shows me the EGR is being commanded but not always moving so I'll pull it out and clean it , see if that makes a difference . Long term fuel trims show it is running slightly rich on both banks but just under tbe 10 percent acceptable. I'll also dig out tbe smoke machine and see if I can find a small vacuum leak. All very odd
