Air bag - should I be worried?
I’m changing my pads and disks today and I’m a bit alarmed at the condition of my near side rear air bag.
It looks like it’s torn. Any ideas?
12 months of D3 ownership have passed and I’m still loving it!

Thats a dust cover the airbag is inside the aluminium tubeAndrew

As aja4x4 says, but what he does not say, is that it is loose en therefore stuck between the alloy cover and the actual airbag, what can be damaged very quick now, because of the rubbing and since we do not know where the metal clip is...
I advice to remove the torn/warped cover....
Replacing is easy though....
undo the bolt and slide the new cover on with some soap or likewise
This is how it needs to be..
The new cover i just replaced few months ago, had the same issue Best regards
