New lock still giving problem

Hi I have a query my central locking on front passenger door locks but doesn’t unlock with remote and the rear driver side door is staying locked at all times. I cannot open either door using the inside latches. I have replaced the passenger front door lock actuator but problem remains , I’m now thinking it may be the wiring splice problem, I just wanted to check if anyone has had the problem where the doors will lock but 1 door or more will not unlock whilst the others operate normally and could this be down to the wiring splice (hope this makes sense)

The green wire splice would be my next thing to check/repair.

Cut the wires today joined together but didn’t cure the problem, also the channel the loom is in was dry and had no evidence of water ever being there. The lock that I used to replace was an aftermarket lock so I’m wondering if that could be faulty, suppose the only way to tell would be to slave in a known working lock but I’m a bit reluctant to pay out only to find the fault is still there, any ideas?

Cheers eight foot, I may have to bite the bullet and buy an original lock just to try and see if that is the case, it’s just that the aftermarket one is giving exactly the same problem as the previous lock, not unlocking at all but locks ok, I’m a bit at a loss with it all

Sounds like a wiring issue

Could anybody tell me is it possible to plug drivers side door lock actuator into the passenger side plug.if this is possible I may take the drivers door lock actuator out and slave it onto the l/h door
and just leave it exposed then remote operate operate see if it unlocks

Why don’t you take your old motor and loosely plug it into a good door.

Front plugs probably compatable

Be warned, my lock only failed when the door trim on. Mad
