So doing my first ever D3 service tomorrow
Got the kit from advanced factors, got my handy haynes manual.
Looks straight forward.
Q is and problems i should look out for not in the manual?

It’s in the manual but many people don’t do it.
Put the oil filter in correctly locate it.
Replace the pollen filter the correct way up,

The first thing i do is loosen the oil filter cover until i can here the air going in/oil draining out.
By the time i get the plates off to get at the drain plug it has emptied.

It is imperative that you fit the oil filter correctly, there is a nipple on the bottom Of the filter that must fit into an hole in the bottom of the filter housing Before refitting The filter top, regardless of how Mr, Haynes Tells you how to do it.
Don’t forget to put the sump plug back in before filling With oil or trying to
