It’s a bit like saying you’re 1mph over the speed limit so you’re not insured. Besides, who decides what is allowed, and even if allowed, is it essential, if it’s essential is it really essential, if it’s really essential is it really really essential? Etc. Whistle

If I drive during the lockdown period, will my insurance be invalidated?

Your cover will not be affected if you drive during the lockdown period. However, all motorists should follow Government advice and avoid non-essential travel.

The Daily Mirror seem to have omitted to report a very important lockdown condition in that insurers won't pay claims unless the collision occurs while cars are at least 2 metres apart Whistle

Blatant lies in headline from a scum newspaper that exists to hook and tease folk into their advertising banners of shame.

Why folk give these "news" outlets the time of day is beyond me. Do we really crave outrage that much?
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Goes against the advice on one of the gov.uk sites that spoke about driving to locations to go for a walk, didn't say yes/no specifically but 'advised' that the excercise/walk at end of any car journey should at least match the driving time taken to get there Confused
