Engine stalls due to egr-valves? |
|
Have engine stalls coming and going. Recently like ten seconds an stopped when i hit the gaspedal a bit. then the idle went normal🧐. Is it like that when bearing starts to fail? Or can egr cause malfunction like that?

partial answer.... when your main and so big-end bearing goes, it will tell you knock knock knock x 700 rmp (but not on heavens door i am afraid )
and it is there without any warning..... from dead normal -- Rattle... nothing in between
in theory it can stall then, but not common..
likely you have another issue.. any faults comming up on a reader? start with that.. Best regards
Harold

Ok. I have yellow engine light on. And im struggelng to get a diagnostic program to work.
Guess that can solve it. Im about to change timing belt and rollers. 10 years and mileage has passed. Maybe a roller causing this😳

nehhh, if a roller is due, your belt will break, as will you engine in 80% of the cases..
you have to look in the air, fuel, and maybe exhaust area.. Best regards

Check the Oil temp sensor, if this is on its way out, it gives you rough idle and lumpy engine running.

Now i got the diagnostic system running. Its p045c egr valve b control intermittent fault
Does that mean that the egr valve is gone or is it possibly to demount and clean it?
I have ordered spare parts for 4k€ already and wasnt really in need of more expenses.
I also found some error codes from the fbh like intermittent connection. But in that case the fan is worn out. It howls and starts only with pressurised air.
