Best place to buy parking sensors |
|
I have a 57 D3 HSE, the rear right outer sensor is not working according to the error codes and it seems easy enough to replace - It was fitted to the car when new, so not a retrofitted system. However, there are loads of parking sensors on the market and lots of complaints that some fail quickly due to water ingress. Where's the best place to get a reliable parking sensor?

The cheap option is to source replacements from a wrecked car, including spares. Otherwise, the usual LR parts suppliers stock them (Advanced Factors, John Craddock, LR Parts etc.). Have no experience with Chinese knock-offs offered on ebay, but I tend to be sceptical of those.

Hi,
I wanted 1 for our Fl2 on looked on the bay of fleas
Found Valeo oem ones for £10 each, when it came it even had JLR on it and same numbers as on my old one
( I know anything can be printed on them but doubt they would bother)
It did not fix my issue but it does work

Once I had the oe part number sourcing a cheap ebay jobby was easy, still working just fine over a year later.
I think but do double check, outer ones are 90 deg angle electrical fitting, and two inner ones are straight.

I have used these and they are indeed (so far) "Life Time", being Chinese thay only last 1 yr but as the company is local to me I wnet over to them. No reciept so how do they do the warrenty, the unit is stamped with their own logo so they replace like for like.
This is OK for me as they are in the next town but by post?
Price £16, it has failed again (3rd time) so I will need to contact them again so I will see what happens, anyway it was 3 years ago no so £16 is nothing though clearly not great quality. Series 1 V8
Series 2 Hibrid V8
Discovery 3 HSE V8
