Will this replace my standard air compressor in my 2005 Discovery or do I need a software Update when installing? Got the dunlop compressor after previous replacement.

I do not know the answer..
But, since you are replacing an allready aftermarket one..(Do not know your reason) this one seems to be a copy, not an original hitachi..

Too many alarm bells in the text to me..

Beware of cheap (chinese) copy’s..
 Best regards
Harold

This will be the 4th compressor I am changing, last one was an aftermarket dunlop type (from advanced factors) it lastet for about 4-5 years. NoNe of these compressor seems to survive >5 years. For this kind of money I am willing to take a chance.

We had a few chinese copy’s of similar advanced products in our Business catalog in The past.

The one’s that weren't often used, lasted longer than the guaranteed period.. far longer..
But the one’s who did see normal use, day by day week in week out that is, all came back within a year..
We stopped selling that rubish....

Made in china is ok, as long as a main brand does control the production AND the end control..
But ali , ebay, amazon chinese stuff.... i stay away...

Since more and more people know this.... chinese companies, started selling from EU or UK warehouses, giving the impression it is from EU or UK company’s / traders.. it is the same copied Rubbish stuff... with chinese end control and cheap materials... if asian companys produce the good stuff, and they do, it is more expensive...

Just MHO, but i did learn my lessons in the past...
 Best regards

I do not expect prime product at that price, the D3 is going in retirement and is not used very often anymore. If it holds out for the same period of time as the last one it is fine with me.

Yes that will fit straight in but by the price it is junk and your run of having to change compressors will continue. By an genuine Hitachi and then keep it and rebuild as required.
