Suspension

Hi, I had a tyre problem on the front o/s, I jacked the car up on that corner and removed the wheel to get it fixed.
Having replaced the wheel and started the car up the amber light for the suspension came on and the notice saying special programs are off.
The car is now sitting on its bump stops and I’m wondering in this present climate if there’s anything that I can do to try a fix myself (probably not I’m guessing) the car was ok before I jacked it up so I’m thinking it’s to do with this.
I’m in construction and still able to work and use the car for work, I’ve been searching to see if anyone’s had a similar problem but non came up other than a recalibration maybe.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks up front Paul.

Take park brake off

IGN off and on

Take for a short drive and get it above 30 mph

Worth a go but unlikely I’m afraid

Try a hard reset.

Yes, I did the hard reset but no luck, I’m sure it’s to do with jacking the wheel of the ground possibly ride height sensor? Probably a diagnostic tool would give the answer unfortunately I don’t have access to one and the guys I normally use at Quattro nr York are closed due to the restrictions I guess.

I had a similar issue the other week after changing brake discs and pads.

Suspension went right down and would fault out within a few seconds of restarting.

I have an IID tool and managed to get faults which pointed to a knackered compressor or very bad leak.
I checked for leaks but found nothing, so I started to try and check the live pressures and found that I could fill the system/increase the pressure using the IID and got it back up to normal height, took it for a run and it's been fine since. Confused

I did have it jacked up on the one corner for 24+hours, due to painting calipers and splash plates etc, so I'm not sure if that contributed to it totally deflating by trying to self-level, it did drop to bump stops when lowering the jack and it was at offroad pre-lifting.

Maybe there is a leak somewhere, but it doesn't drop overnight and when I was looking for leaks I didn't find any, though thinking about it there was very little pressure in the system at that time, so they probably wouldn't have shown up with soapy water... Shocked

Don't know it that helps you at all Prowler, maybe if you have an alternative way of getting air into the system/run the compressor from a separate 12v supply?

Thanks to all for help/suggestions, I’m thinking of getting a Gap IID BT TFIIDBT IIDBT all Landrover models Bluetooth Diagnostic tool to self diagnose myself.
I’ve often thought about getting one and in the present climate now is probably a good time as i think where a little bit on our own with things for now.
My question is, is this the right one that would help apparently you down load the app on your mobile and go from there. I strongly suspect the problem is from jacking the wheel up so it might need a reset? if the height sensors are an issue and need replacing it would then need recalibrating? so is this what I need.?
Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Cheers Paul
