Has anyone swapped their autobox for a manual box?
How much was involved?

New gearbox, new TCCM wiring loom, new clutch/flywheel/slave, new master cylinder + pipework, new pedal box, various CCF edits, possible clutch pedal switch + wiring required, gear linkage and covers, new floor panel
While it can be done, its cheaper the have an autobox reconditioned, than swapping to a manual box... My D3 Build Thread

Anyone swapped to a manual box for a 4.4 V8 HSE? That would be the real setup IMHO. I'd love it.

I drove a manual D3 once before I bought mine (and at the time all my vehicles were manuals), I could see why most people went for the auto!

I have driven both, and I totally disagree with that!

My first D3 was an SE manual and I was fine with it, apart from the cost when the clutch went!
The auto was definitely an improvement though, and the auto box on the D3 is well matched to the engine I reckon.
I'm not convinced the D3 manual clutch would last long with the V8! Black 05 TDV6 HSE Auto

I found the 1st gear too high on my D3 Manual diesel . The auto was a lot better especially for towing.
